CANNABELL

The Russian design studio Aotta has produced new sound-absorbing panels made of light and organic materials. The panels are made of cannabis shells that have been thrown away like a useless waste. The skins formed by the peeling of all seeds are biodegradable and cheap raw materials.

Hemp shell panels are a naturally porous membrane that absorbs sound reflections, regulates indoor humidity and temperature, and creates a comfortable and healthy space.

The designers created a unique surface pattern with an unusual visual and textural effect, keeping the shape of the original natural raw material. The composition of the binder ensures 100% biodegradability of the panels, highly durable for long-term use indoors. It also has fireproof and antifungal properties.
